Project Bankside Neo
Architecture

NEO Bankside is an exceptional development
in an exceptional setting. Each of the 197
apartments and penthouses is a unique and
flexible living space. The pavilions’ support
structure is external, avoiding the need
for internal structural walls, and the maximum
amount of daylight will flood through the
floor-to-ceiling glazing in each apartment.

Winter Gardens
“The Winter Gardens are very
much seen as an extension of
your living room”
Graham Stirk

NEO Bankside is a place to relax and
enjoy life. Most apartments have a perfect
haven in its Winter Garden, a glazed
promontory that provides a window
on the outside world.

Suspended from the main structure,
on a lightweight deck connected by a
system of props and hangers, the Garden
acts both as enclosed terrace and an
extension of the interior living space.

Scenic Lifts
“You come out of a glazed lift
bathed in natural light where everyone gets views of the river
and surrounding London and walk straight into your apartment.”
Graham Stirk

Arriving at your apartment at NEO Bankside
will always be a moment to savour. Each pavilion has its own large lobby area, an
informal, sociable space where residents
and visitors can meet. From there scenic,
glass lifts set in transparent shafts
transport you to the upper floors, providing
spectacular panoramas of the surrounding neighbourhood, the Thames and St. Paul’s
Cathedral. It’s a journey you will never tire
of making.

X
External Structure

NEO Bankside compliments and enhances
the surrounding area. Its external design subtly reflects Bankside’s industrial heritage, with the oxide reds of the Winter Gardens echoing the industrial browns and reds of
Tate Modern and nearby Blackfriars Bridge.

Timber clad panels and window
louvres provide a residential context.

The pavilions’ distinctive external bracing
avoids the need for internal structural
walls, providing greater flexibility for
new apartment layouts in the future.
